By using the Hot!Review Software and our services, you expressly consent to the processing of your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. Type of Data and Purpose of Data Collection
Hot-Tec got the mandate of it’s hotel client to collect and process data via our hotel review software Hot!Review. Hot!Review is an independent software for generating reviews. Hotel reviews serve to improve the quality of hotel services.
By writing a hotel review through the Hot!Review software and clicking on “send”, you agree we may store in our database and process the following data: review text, rated categories with stars, name, age range, hotel stay date, hotel stay purpose, email.
On behalf of our hotel client, we are responsible for all processes and the complete email transaction concerning hotel review generation and management. This implies sending out an email with a unique link to the review form as well as mediation communication.
While filling out the review form you may choose the kind of data to be published overtly. Thus, you may choose between a named or anonymous publication. Additionally, the hotel may comment your review.
Furthermore, you agree that your review will be published on a hotel’s website or – as an option you will be redirected to a third party review portal (TripAdvisor, Zoover, GooglePlus, Holidaycheck) to post a review there.
2. Disclosure of Your Data
The data will be used only for the purpose described in paragraph 1.
If we plan to use the collected data for another purpose e.g. using your review as a testimonial, we will prior notify you by email.
3. Changes or Removal of Data
You or our hotel client may contact us to change or remove certain data due to several reasons e.g. accidental misstatements, personal attacks, insults, sexist remarks etc. We reserve the right to change or remove content for any reason in our sole discretion.
4. Data Collected through Technology
Hot-Tec reserves the right to install data collecting and data analyzing software such as own developed technologies, cookies, google analytics or programs from other third parties with the aim to improve our service.
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. In case of activation of the IP anonymization, Google will truncate/anonymize the last octet of the IP address for Member States of the European Union as well as for other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address is sent to and shortened by Google servers in the USA. 5. Safety
We are committed to processing all the data in accordance with the highest security standards.
We have build up an infrastructure for maximizing the safety of all data. We use encryption technology and socket layer technology (SSL) for data transmission. However, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Change to Privacy Policy
Hot-Tec may adapt this Privacy Policy in the future due to changes of legislations or terms of services provided by Hot-Tec. Hot-Tec will inform you of any changes by posting a message on our website and/or sending you an email. Any changes will be effective within a period of 30 days after the notification date. You have the right to appeal the change within that period by sending us an email to info@hot-tec.com.
